Presidential Inaugural License Plates

Presidential Inaugural plates were first issued in 1933 and have been issued every 4 years with the exception of 1945.  Up through 2001, these plates could be used on a limited basis on vehicles.  Since then, the plates have been produced mostly as souvenirs and could not be used by the general public on the roads.  Plates were manufactured for and used by various law enforcement vehicles and in the Inaugural parades from 2005 on.
