Dominican Republic

On many Dominican Republic plates, you will see a "1o" or "2o."  Many plates were issued every 6 months, with "1o" referring to the first semester, or 6-month period.  "2o" is therefore the 2nd semester, or 6-month period.

The vast majority of these Dominican Republic plates are from the legendary collection of the late Bob Bittner, who obtained them personally over the course of many trips to the Caribbean.
